Biscuit's Bookshop Mysteries · Last updated 31 October 2026

This policy explains what information the game Biscuit's Bookshop Mysteries (“the game”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by Devonicus, based in Australia (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions, email privacy@devonicus.com.

The short version

Information stored on your device

The game saves your progress on your device, such as levels completed, coins, clues found, sound settings, how many reward videos you have watched today, and whether you have removed ads or joined the Detective's Club. The game's fonts and artwork are built in, so the game doesn't download anything to display itself. This stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data. It is not sent to us.

Information collected by services we use

Advertising: Google AdMob

The game shows optional reward videos and occasional ads between levels using Google AdMob, provided by Google. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game automatically collects:

This information is sent to and handled by Google. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (on Android: Settings › Google › Ads, or Settings › Privacy › Ads). In the UK and EEA, the game shows Google's consent form before personalised ads, and you can change your choice later from Ad privacy choices in the game's shop. Players who buy Remove ads or join the Detective's Club don't see ads between levels.

Purchases: Google Play and RevenueCat

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details, and we never receive your card or bank information. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and keep track of what you own (for example, so that Remove ads stays active and can be restored). RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat also receives basic technical information needed to process purchases, such as your device type, operating system and app version, and your IP address (used to determine your store country).

See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

All information sent by the game is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat sharing information with advertising partners as a “sale” or “sharing”. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time in your device settings, as described above.

Children

The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game and you would like information about them removed, contact us at the address below.

How long information is kept

Information on your device is kept until you uninstall the game or clear its data. Google and RevenueCat keep information according to their own privacy policies. RevenueCat keeps purchase records so purchases can be restored and for legal and accounting reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, and US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it is used. Because the game has no accounts, we usually can't identify you from the information above. If you contact us, we will help where we can and pass requests to Google or RevenueCat as needed. You can also delete all locally saved data by uninstalling the game.

If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

International transfers

Google and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. They use safeguards required by law for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes how it handles information, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page.
